Why do D listers sell their most private family business to the press?

I think they do this to get themselves back in the spotlight. They were once on every newspaper and in the public eye and now there 15min of fame is up and they want to get themselves back out there and they are willing to do whatever it takes to do so...even if it means telling all about there family and friends.....
