Acute Bronchitis vs COPD?

Yesterday, I tried signing up for the military. But, they told me I had wheezing in my lungs since I was a smoker for five years. I understood that completely and the TDQ'd me until two weeks from now. I am concerned that I may COPD which would be horrible in my eyes to have. But, I'm not sure if I do have it or not. After last night, I was put on alburteral, an antibiotic, a pain reliever, and mucinex. Now, today I feel a whole lot better and not having to cough so much and not having a productive cough at all. Nor, do I have the wheezing I did before unless I really did breathe deeper than normal. I just need some advice and see what this is.
